Precision, And Counting
2012
This piece was made especially for Wellness Works, an ART From the Ashes exhibition that was put on in conjunction with Los Angeles Trust for Children's Health and California School Health Centers. The goal was to make works incorporating materials from an old machine shop at Hollywood High, and raise funds to build a wellness center in it's place.

My submission - a sterling silver cuff with found steel, fine silver and copper chain.
It takes a great deal of work and attention to make something look simple. So simple that we can take it for granted even. This piece is an ode to all that work we do that is never revealed or apparent in the end result, all the precise little moves we make, just to keep things as they should be.

*piece was sold the night of the event
